Our story

A family business, since 1973.

Lewis Magri started with a truck and a reputation for turning up. 50 years later his sons run the company the same way.

Built one truck at a time.

The Foden container truck bought in 1973 is still the start of every story we tell. The fleet grew with the customers: Bedfords and Leylands, ERF eight-wheelers and mechanical horses, DAFs pulling containers off the quay.

Somewhere along the way the trucks changed colour to the blue with the red and white stripes, and the name on the cab changed from L. Magri & Sons to Lewis Magri & Sons Ltd. What didn't change is who answers the phone. Operations, customs and freight are still run by the Magri family, and most of our customers have been with us for a very long time.
